CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO.300  OF  2021

ORDER

1.   At this stage, parties have been asked by this Commission for the settlement of the dispute amicably for which they are ready. Vide her separate statement, Ms.Veena Hooda, Counsel for OPs has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.30,000/- to the complainant within a period of 30 days from today(14.12.2023) in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OPs shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Anshuman Chopra, Complainant has admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OPs and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement.

2.   In view of the statements made by the parties and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

1. OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.30,000/- to the complainant within a period of 30 days from today(14.12.2023).
2. In case OPs fail to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OPs shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e. 04.05.2021 till the payment is made.

3.   The complaint is disposed of accordingly.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
