CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 38  OF  2022

ORDER

            At this stage, parties have been asked by this Commission for the settlement of the dispute amicably for which they are ready. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Nitin Bhasin, Counsel for OP No.1 has stated that the matter has been finally settled with an undertaking that the OP No.1 will deposit Rs.3100/- in Tricity Consumer Courts Bar Association, Chandigarh (Regd.) within a period of one week from today, failing which the OP No.1 shall be liable to pay interest @ 9% p.a. on the aforesaid amount from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Karan Singla, Complainant has admitted the statement of counsel for OP No.1 and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement.

            In view of the statement of the parties and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

(i)         OP No.1 shall deposit an amount Rs.3100/- in Tricity Consumer Courts Bar Association, Chandigarh (Regd.) within a period of one week from today.

(ii)        In case OP No.1 fails to deposit the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OP No.1 shall be liable to pay interest @ 9% p.a. on the aforesaid amount from the date of filing of the present consumer complaint i.e.04.01.2022 till the amount is deposited.  

            The complaint is disposed of accordingly.

            Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
