BEFORE THE DISTRICT CONSUMER DISPUTES REDRESSAL FORUM, MOGA. Complaint No: 57 of 2008. Instituted On: 28.05.2008. Date of Service: 19.06.2008. Decided On: 06.11.2008. Sunil Garg, Advocate (aged 42 years) son of Sh.Raj Kumar Garg, Main Road, Vedant Nagar, Moga. Complainant. Versus 1. Punjab State Electricity Board, through its XEN, South Division, Power House, G.T.Road, Moga. 2. Assistant Executive Engineer, (S.D.O) South Urban Division, Moga. Opposite Parties. Complaint under section 12 of The Consumer Protection Act, 1986. Quorum: Sh.J.S.Chawla, President. Sh.Jit Singh Mallah, Member. Present: Sh.Sunil Garg, complainant in person Sh.S.K.Dhir, Advocate counsel for the OPs. Heard. In view of the statement of Sh.Sunil Garg, complainant recorded on 21.10.2008 and Sh.Gurmeet Singh,SDO, PSEB, South City,Moga recorded on 03.11.2008, the complaint is accepted as compromised and the impugned demand of Rs.40660/- on the basis of average of 9518 units is reduced to 2334 units for the month of September,2007, out of which the complainant has already deposited Rs.7375/- and the OPs-Board is entitled to the balance, if any, without any 2 surcharge/penalty. However, the parties shall be bound by their statements made in the Forum. The OPs-Board is directed to issue the demand notice of the balance amount, if any, compromised as above within 15 days, from the receipt of the copy of this order and the complainant shall deposit the same within the next 15 days after receiving the notice.
