CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 724  OF  2022

AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement recorded on 17.08.2023, Sh.Raman Walia, Counsel for OP has stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OP shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.2,51,000/- to the complainant within a period of 45 days from today(17.08.2023) in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OP shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 12% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint and the aforesaid payment shall be transferred in the bank account of the complainant. Vide her separate statement, Mrs.Hemali Angra, Complainant in person has admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OP and prayed that the present consumer complaint be disposed of in National Lok Adalat. She has also given her bank account details as “Punjab National Bank, Sector 9-D, Chandigarh, Account No.1488000400076417, IFSC Code PUNB0148800”.

2.   In view of the statements and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

1. OP shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.2,51,000/- to the complainant within a period of 45 days from 17.08.2023 and the amount shall be transferred in the aforesaid bank account of the complainant straightway through electronic mode.
2. In case OP fails to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OP shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 12% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e. 16.08.2022 till its realization.

3.   The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
