CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 625  OF  2020

AWARD

1.   Vide his separate statement recorded on 13.10.2023, Sh.Raman Walia, Counsel for OPs stated that the matter has been settled between the parties and as per settlement, the OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.85,000/- to the complainant on or before 30.11.2023 in full and final settlement of the present matter, failing which the OPs shall be liable to pay the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 10% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. It has been further stated by counsel for OPs that the aforesaid payment shall be transferred directly in the bank account of the complainant. Vide his separate statement recorded on 13.10.2023, Sh.Ashok Kumar, Authorized Representative of Complainant admitted the aforesaid statement of counsel for OPs and prayed that the present consumer complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement in Upbhokta Lok Adalat. He has given the details of bank account of Sh.Yogesh Kumar,Complainant as “Yes Bank, Branch Nangal, Account No. 035490400001112, IFSC Code YESB0000354”.

2.   In view of the statements made by the counsel for OPs as well as authorized representative of complainant and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

1. OPs shall pay a lumpsum amount of Rs.85,000/- to the complainant on or before 30.11.2023 and the amount shall be transferred in the aforesaid bank account of the complainant straightway through electronic mode.
2. In case OPs fail to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, then OPs shall be liable to pay the same alongwith interest @ 10% p.a. from the date of filing of present consumer complaint i.e. 29.12.2020 till the payment is made.

3.   The award is accordingly passed.

4.   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
