ORDER | ||||
1. Heard. The matter has amicably been settled between the parties. Counsel for OPs has handed over to the complainant two post dated cheques dated 15.12.2019 and 15.01.2020 in the sum of Rs.1,25,000/- each, totaling Rs.2,50,000/-. Photocopy of cheques alongwith receipt retained on record. In addition to this, it is agreed that complainant shall apply for refund of Visa Fee and in case he does not get the refund by 31.12.2019, the OPs shall refund a sum of Rs.25,000/- in lieu thereof by 07.01.2020. Statement of Sh.Raman Walia, Counsel for OPs and that of Sh.Jatinder Singh, Complainant, to this effect have been recorded separately, in view of which the present consumer complaint is disposed off being settled. Statement of the parties recorded today shall form a part of this order and shall be binding on both the parties. 2. Lok Adalat on its own motion makes it clear that in case the aforesaid cheques are bounced, this order shall be treated as executable decree and the complainant shall be at liberty to get the same executed by filing execution and for each of the bounced cheque, OPs shall pay Rs.10,000/- as penalty. 3. Certified copy of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned. |

The matter has amicably been settled between the parties.
