CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 589  OF  2016

ORDER

1.        The parties have settled the matter. Sh.Amit Kumar, Senior Legal Executive for OPs has made statement that a cheque for a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- bearing No.014787 dated 18.01.2018 drawn on Axis Bank has been handed to the counsel for complainant today towards full and final settlement of all claims raised by the complainant. He has further stated that the amount of Rs.28,000/- paid by the complainant to the OPs towards service tax, which has since been deposited with the service tax authorities, can be directly claimed by the complainant Sh.Kawandeep Singh by moving an application with the service tax authorities and the OP company has no objection with regard to the same. Photocopy of cheque has been taken on record. At this stage, Sh.Ravi K.Mattoo, Counsel for Complainant has made statement that he has heard the statement made by Sh.Amit Kumar, Senior Legal Executive for OPs today. He has no objection to the above settlement arrived at between the parties and he withdraws the present complaint, subject to encashment of aforesaid cheque of Rs.4,00,000/- and payment of Rs.28,000/- towards service tax. Consequently, this complaint is dismissed as withdrawn, subject to encashment of cheque of Rs.4,00,000/- and payment of Rs.28,000/- towards service tax. The parties shall be bound by statements made before the Forum today and the same shall also form a part of this order.

2.        Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
