JUSTICE SRI.K.R.UDAYABHANU         : PRESIDENT

          The appellant is the complainant in CC.21/2011 in the file of CDRF, Ernakulam. The opposite parties/manufacturer has been directed to refund Rs.15750/- out of the price of Rs.17500/- of the washing machine that he purchased.  

          2. According to the complainant on 16.8.10 when he operated the machine that he purchased on 30.8.08 it had stopped suddenly after working a few minutes. Thereafter the opposite party could not repair the same and they did not replace the machine also although there is warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase.

          2. The evidence adduced consisted of Exts.A1 to A9.

          3. We find that the Forum has directed the manufacturer to refund Rs.15750/- which is less by 10% of the purchase price and that too after using the machine for 2 years.  The Forum has directed to pay Rs.1000/- towards cost and also interest at 6%.  We find the order is a very reasonable one.  We find that there is no scope for admitting the appeal.  The appeal is dismissed in limine
