Final Order / Judgement

Record is placed before the National Lok Adalat as per order dated 29.08.2024 for settlement of the matter.

Ld. Advocate for the complainant is present with his client. Heard Ld. Advocate for the complainant  as to settlement of the matter. It is submitted by the complainant that both the parties have agreed to settle the case amicably out of the Court and as such there is no further payment of allegation against the OP. A petition to that effect is filed for the complainant with the prayer for passing necessary order.

On scrutiny of the complaint petition, it appears that the instant complaint petition was filed by the complainant on 18.08.2022 against the WBSEDCL & Ors. for deficiency in service against inflated bill issued by the OPs as alleged by the complainant. Prayer of the complainant is for passing an order directing the OPs to send average bill for the disputed bill for the month of July to September, 20022 as per previous six month’s bill cycle along with a direction to the OP Co. to pay compensation a sum of Rs.80,000/- along with litigation cost of Rs.15,000/- in total Rs.95,000/- to the complainant.

Just now, Representative of the OP appears.

As per submission of the parties and the petition filed by the complainant today, it appears to us that the matter has already been settled in between the parties.

Hence, the CDF Unit-II, CC No. 301/2022 is settled and disposed of finally through the National Lok Adalat.

Let a copy of this order be supplied to both the parties free of cost with proper endorsement.
