ORDER

The complainant files hazira. The O.P WBSEDCL files written objection against interim application.

            The petition dated 08.09.17 filed by the complainant for passing interim order with W.O. filed by the O.P and documents filed by the complainant is taken up for hearing and passing order treating as M.A/22/2017.

            Heard both sides.

            It appears that it is the allegation of the complainant that he has been paying electric bills regularly. Thereafter the premises in question was given to Software Information Technological Ltd. on lease and they left the said premises without paying electic bill of Rs. 80845/- to the O.P. On 09.06.17 the O.P disconnected his line. On 23.08.17 he deposited Rs. 40000/- to the O.P as per assurance of the O.P for reconnection of the line. But they did not restore the same and he is suffering very much.

            Hence this application for restoration of service connection No. 521186472.

            On the other hand it is the case of the O.P/Electricity Department that the complainant has not paid the total outstanding dues and they are ready to restore the line, if he pays the dues with reconnection and disconnection fees.

However, without going into the merit of the case we think electricity is most essential part of human life in the present day situation and ends of justice would be met up if the complainant is directed to pay lump sum amount to the O.P and O.P is directed to restore said line on such payment.

            Accordingly prayer for interim order is allowed on contest and M.A/ 22/2017 disposed of.

            The complainant is directed to deposit Rs. 10000/- to the O.P within 7 days from this day.

            The O.P is directed to restore the line immediate after payment of Rs. 10,000/-.

            Deposited amount will be adjusted with the electric bills of the complainant.

The Complainant is also directed to pay the current bills month by month/quarterly.

Fix 22/11/2017 for filing W.V by the O.P.

The copy of the order be supplied to the parties at free of cost.

A copy of the order be sent to the O.P WBSEDCL, Bolpur office through speed post for compliance.
