                   This Revision Petition has been filed against order dated 11.04.2016 passed by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-I, U.T., Chandigarh (in short ‘the Forum’) ordering exparte proceedings against the Revision Petitioners/Opposite Parties.

2.         At the time of arguments, it is very fairly stated by respondent No.1/complainant, who is present in person alongwith his Counsel that let the matter be heard on merits by the Forum. 

3.         We appreciate the stand taken by respondent No.1. 

4.         In view of above, the Revision Petition is allowed. The order under challenge is set aside. The matter is remitted to the Forum for decision on merits.

5.         Parties are directed to appear before the Forum concerned on 03.06.2016.

6.         It is stated by the Counsel  for the Revision Petitioners/Opposite Parties that the reply and evidence will positively be filed on or before the next date of hearing. It is made clear that if it is not so done, no further opportunity shall be granted by the Forum to the Revision Petitioners/Opposite Parties and the order under challenge dated 11.04.2016 shall  be deemed to have attained finality.

7.         We expect that the Forum will decide the complaint positively within six weeks from the date, the parties put in appearance before it.

8.         Order passed is subject to payment of Rs.10,000/- as cost. The said amount shall be paid by the Revision Petitioners/Opposite Parties to the respondents/complainants/their Counsel before the Forum on the date fixed.

9.         Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties, free of charge.

10.        Complete record alongwith a certified copy of this order be sent to the Forum, immediately, so as to reach there before the date fixed.

11.        File be consigned to the Record Room after completion.
