The appeal taken up in National Lok Adalat. Ld. Counsel for the appellants Sri Dinesh Kumar is present. None is present for the respondent.

The present appeal has been filed against the judgment and order dated 18.5.2013 passed by the Ld. District Forum-I, Agra in  complaint case no.130 of 2012, Vijay Agarwal vs. Sriram General Insurance Co. Ltd.

I have heard ld. counsel for the appellants and perused the impugned judgment and order. 

The order passed by the ld. District Forum is justified. However, so far as the amount with regard to mental agony and cost is concerned, the same are found excessive which are reduced from Rs.3,500.00 to Rs.2,000.00 and case cost from Rs.2,500.00 to Rs.1,000.00.

 Accordingly, the appeal is allowed in part.

If any amount is deposited by the appellants at the time of filing of this appeal under section 15 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, may be remitted to the District Forum concerned for satisfying the decree as per rules alongwith accrued interest upto date.
