ORDER

The judgement is pronounced in the open court on seperate sheets of paper today. This complaint is allowed in part. The complainant is held entitled to the directions to the respondent to issue the bond to refund the amount of Rs.14,990/- to the complainant with an undertaking to pay the said amount after 7 years with effect from 12.10.1998 and the warranty card for 7 years from 12.10.1998. Further the complainant is held entitled to the amount of Rs.1,500/- as compensation towards the mental and physical agony on account of the deficiency of service by the respondents jointly and severally together with Rs.500/- towards the costs of this proceedings. The respondents shall pay the amount of Rs.1,500/- as compensation to the complainant towards the mental and physical agony that the complainant has suffered together with Rs. 500/- towards the costs of this proceedings jointly and severally within 2 months from the date of the receipt of the copy of the judgement and order,apart from bearing their own costs of this proceedings. Further the respondent shall issue the refund bond and 7 years warranty card also as stipulated above within 2 months from the date of the receipt of the copy of this judgement and order to the complainant jointly and severally. The complainant's claim regarding the refund of amount of Rs.8,000/- being the cost of the old T.V. is rejected. Send the certified copies of this order to both side parties by R.P.A.D. immediately.
