UDAYABHANU : PRESIDENT The appellant is the opposite party/Water Authority. The bill issued by the appellants stands cancelled and is also under orders to pay Rs.1000/- as compensation and Rs.500/- as cost. 2. The case is related to the alleged over billing. 3. The opposite party/appellant was set exparte. It is submitted that the appellant happened to be absent on account of the fact that the standing counsel did not represent the matter. It is also submitted that the standing counsel has been removed from the panel. 4. In the circumstances and in view of the fact that it was not a considered order the order of the Forum is set aside on condition that the appellant remit a sum of Rs.1000/- towards cost of the opposite party before the Forum. The same can be withdrawn by the complainant. On deposit of the amount the Forum will permit the opposite party to file version and adduce evidence. The Forum will issue notice to the complainant. The case stands posted before the Forum on 17..9..2009. The office is directed to despatch the copy of the order to the Forum urgently.
