        JUDGMENT

        Sri A.K.Purohit, President.

1.          Late Chhinu Sahu the husband of the complainant is a policy holder under the Pradhan Mantri Surakhya Bima Yogana and for that purpose he is having a SB Account in the O.P.’s bank vide A/C.No. 84002469066 and the premium amount of Rs.12/- per year was deducted by the O.P. from the said account. The aforesaid policy covers the accidental death benefit. On dated 5.2.16 the policy holder Chhinu Sahu died due to road accident, which was reported in the Loisingha P.S. The complainant being the nominee of the insurance policy has submitted her  claim for the insurance benefit before the O.P. on dated 17.6.16. The complainant alleges that on repeated request the O.Ps. have did not taken care for settling her claim and hence alleging deficiency in service the complainant has preferred this case.

2.          The O.Ps. have contested the case by filing their written version jointly. The O.Ps. have denied all the allegations of the complainant and submitted that the insurance amount has already been deposited in the SB Account of the complainant since 26.03.2018 and hence there is no deficiency in service on the part of the O.Ps.

3.             Heard both the parties. Perused the material available on record. It is an admitted fact that Late Chhinu Sahu is a policy holder under the PMSBY Scheme. It is also an admitted fact that the policy holder died on dated 5.2.16 and the complainant being the wife and nominee of the policy holder is entitled to the insurance benefit. During course of argument parties have admitted that the insurance amount has already been deposited in the SB Account of the complainant during pendency of this case. Under the circumstances and material available on record at present there is no issue to pass any further directions. Since the insurer has deposited the insurance benefit amount in the account of the complainant through NEFT, there is no deficiency in service on the part of the O.Ps.

Accordingly the case of the complainant is dismissed.

Pronounced in the open Forum to-day the  19th September’2018.
