Today he has filed   application on behalf of Smt. Asha Minhas  in which it is mentioned  that BSNL Authority has no power to burden the consumer with tax.

                   Perused.                            

                   As per photocopy of bill, service tax of 14% amounting to Rupees 229.77 has been imposed upon the complainant in a bill of telephone No. 01975-223331 for the period of 01-07-2015 to 31-08-2015. We are of the view that BSNL Authority   is empowered to receive service tax from the consumer, therefore, this complaint appears to be not maintainable. Accordingly, the complaint, in hand, is dismissed being not maintainable. The file after registration and needful be consigned to the Record Room.
