Mukhtiar Singh-complainant (appellant herein) is in appeal against the order dated January 01st, 2015 passed by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (for short District Forum), Kurukshetra, whereby, complaint filed by him was dismissed.

2.      Complainant applied for electric connection for agriculture supply on January 02nd, 1997 with Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (for short ‘UHBVNL’). Test report was submitted on September 08th, 1998.  The electric connection was released on December 27th, 2001.  Thereafter, in view of the circular No.77/2001 dated September 28th, 2001, the complainant was to pay Rs.20,000/- on account of new connection and Rs.7000/- for one span.  The complainant did not deposit the said amount.  UHBVNL issued him notice.  Inspite of that, complainant did not deposit the amount of Rs.27,000/- and his connection was disconnected on January 29th, 2015 as stated by Sh. N.P.S. Kohli, learned counsel for UHBVNL assisted by Sh. Sushil Kumar, L.D.C. During the hearing, complainant stated that he would deposit Rs.27,000/- within one month.  In face of it, learned counsel for UHBVNL has stated that on deposit of Rs.27,000/- plus energy bills upto date by the complainant, electric connection shall be released immediately.

5.      In view of the statements of the parties, the appeal is disposed of in the manner indicated above.
