Complainants applied for new electric connections on the premises, ground floor and 4th floor of B-676, Inderpuri, Delhi-15 bearing request no./notification no.2014098612 for ground floor and another request no./notification no.2014098613 but after few days the OP given a dues intimation letter dated 28.02.2017 of Rs.87,939/-.

Complainant is facing financial problem hence filed an application to make the payment of entire amount of the impugned bill if allowed to make the payment in installments.

Copy of the application given to the OP. OP orally submits that the complainant is a habitual defaulter and has never made the payments regularly, therefore, the complainant be directed to deposit the entire amount on or before due date.

Heard both the parties and perused case file. In view of the submissions made by complainant & OP and particularly complainant’s bonafide willingness to make the payment in installments, it is hereby directed that complainant shall make payment of the bill no-10006674238 dated 07.10.2016 amounting to Rs.82,710/- in five EMIs pertaining to CA No.60013967595 first installment shall be paid on or before 05.04.2017 and remaining four installments shall be paid on or before 5th of each succeeding month. Any payment made by complainant against above said bill is subject to adjustment. On payment of Ist installment, the OP will release the electric connections bearing request no./notification no.2014098612 & 2014098613 subject to statuary compliance.

However, it is clarified that if complainant fails to deposit installments as per above schedule, the OP shall be within its rights for recovering the remaining outstanding amount or to take appropriate action as per law.

The complaint is disposed of in above terms. File be consigned to record room.
