Shri S.L.Behera, President :- The brief facts of the complaint case is that, the complainant has taken electrical connection with having Consumer No. 417212020052 and he was paying the electricity bills regularly to the O.P. The O.P served a wrong bill amounting Rs.40,880/- only. The complainant has complaint about the wrong billing but the O.P has disconnected the electric connection on dtd.22,03,2017 before due date of 23.03.2017, hence this case.
On service of notice, the O.P appeared and filed Written Version through his counsel admitting the facts of electricity connection and submitted that the complainant is a consumer vide consumer No. 417212020052. The complainant has outstanding dues of Rs.40,880/- up to February’2017, the electrical connection was disconnected and further it was restored as per the order of this Hon’ble Forum. To avoid the payment of arrear and to escape from the liability the complainant filed this case which is liable to be dismissed.
Heard from the parties, gone through the case and materials available on record. The complainant is a consumer of O.P bearing consumer No. 417212020052. The O.P has installed a parallel meter in the premises of the complainant on dtd. 21.03.2017 and as per the findings of two months reading of both the meters the O.P prepared meter test report dtd. 09.05.2017 and detected that there is no defect in the existing meter.
The O.P has disconnected the electric connection on 22.03.2017 but the due date mentioned as 23.03.2017 in the bill dated 16.03.2017 issued to the complainant but in the other hand the meter is found to be running properly.
On the above mentioned facts and circumstances the complaint petition is hereby partly allowed, directing the O.P to issue afresh electricity bill in favour of the complainant and receive the arrear bill amount in four numbers of equal monthly installments along with regular current electricity bills from the complainant.
Accordingly the case in hand is disposed of.
