are pending before District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Ambala (for short ‘District Forum’). Notice issued by ordinary process could not be served on August 01^st, 2016 to Vanita Sehgal, Amit Sehgal and Mohit Sehgal, legal representatives of late Manohar Lal Sehgal, who is opposite party No.3 in all these cases.

2.      The District Forum vide impugned order dated August 01^st, 2016 rightly came to the conclusion that legal representatives of Manohar Lal Sehgal (since deceased) cannot be served by ordinary process and resort be had to substitute service by publication. However, the District Forum ordered that in all the seven cases, seven notices be published separately in newspaper ‘Punjab Kesri’.

3.      The purpose is to inform the legal representatives of opposite party No.3 about the pendency of proceedings against them and that can be achieved by publishing one single composite notice in the newspaper listing therein all the cases and a copy of the publication can be placed on each of the seven files. This will save an avoidable expenses. The District Forum is directed to act accordingly.

4.      Disposed of.
