In this revision by the complainant, challenge is to the order dated 30.11.2009 of A.P. State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Hyderabad dismissing appeal against District Forum’s order dated 29.4.2008 whereby complaint was dismissed. It was alleged that on 6.5.2008, petitioner took his grand daughter to respondent No. 2/ opposite party No. 2- Hospital with complaint of severe stomach pain. Duty Doctor at respondent No. 2 – Hospital asked the petitioner to take the grand daughter to the Head Quarters’ Government Hospital at Vizianagaram. Petitioner took his grand daughter to respondent No. 1/opposite party No. 1. – Hospital on 7.5.2008. She was operated there on 7.5.2008 itself at 11.30 P.M. She was found to be having frankpus in peritoneum. After operation, the grand daughter was prescribed broad-spectrum antibiotics. In spite of due care, she died on 10.5.2008. Cause of death was septic shock due to perforated appendix with intra- peritoneal abscess. Alleging medical negligence the petitioner filed complaint which was dismissed by the District Forum also taking into consideration the report of Hospital Disciplinary Committee on the death of the deceased. Appeal filed by petitioner against Forum’s order was dismissed on merit by the State Commission. State Commission’s order notices that for the last four dates nobody had been appearing on behalf of the petitioner to press the appeal. Both the fora below have returned finding that there was no medical negligence in the treatment of the grand daughter of the petitioner by respondents particularly at respondent No. 1- Hospital. Considering this concurrent finding, we are not inclined to interfere with the reasoned orders passed by fora below. Revision petition is, therefore, dismissed.
