The case of the Complainant is that the Complainant is having Consumer No. 416232020450 under the O.Ps. On 11.12.2020 the complaint received a bill of Rs. 2991.58P for Nov. 2020 and came to know that an arrear of Rs. 1,62,377.14P has been shown and directed to pay by 18.12.2020 for Rs. 1,77,369/-. The Complainant claimed a detail bill but the O.Ps not provided. During pandemic being harassed and warning of the O.Ps for disconnection filed the complaint before this Commission.
The O.Ps after appearance filed their version. The Complainant has been supplied with a permitted load of 6.5 KW under LT/Domestic category and supply extended since 16.08.2010. The Consumer is very irregular in payment of bills for which till July 2022 an arrear exist for Rs.2,42,816/-. Billing disputes are not entertainable before this Commission. Rs. 2991/- monthly bill is quite natural. The meter is working properly. During pandemic no any direction has been made from govt. not to collect electricity bills. There is no any deviation on the part of the O.Ps. as per the Electricity Act, 2003 and the O.E.R.C. Distribution code, 2019. The other allegations are denied. The complaint is liable to be dismissed.
Perused the documents filed by the parties. The O.Ps have filed the billing history of the Complainant, having meter No. WUS01107. The Complainant has not raised any allegations against billing of the O.Ps. The Meter is also working properly and never any objection has been raised nor over the load factor. When a huge amount is lying outstanding, it is obvious that the supplier is to take proper measures under the law, it does not amount to any deficiency in service.
Accordingly, it is ordered:
ORDER
The Complaint is dismissed on contest against the O.Ps. The Complainant is directed to pay regular monthly bills in order to avoid disconnection and approach the departmental authority for dissatisfaction in billing.
Order pronounced in open court on this 21st Nov. 2022.
Supply free copies to the parties.
