Final Order / Judgement

    05

08.08.2023

Today is fixed for admission hearing. The Complainant is found absent on call. The record shows that no step was taken by the Complainant from the date of hearing of admission on and from 13.07.23. The record further shows that the Complainant was absent on 20.07.23, 01.08.23 and today i.e. on 08.08.23.

The case of the Complainant as per materials on record is that  he had electric connection in his father’s name bearing Consumer No. 312015082 and the Complainant used this electric connection after the death of his father. Then, Complainant wanted to change the holder name of the electric connection for that he enquired from O.P.  about the process of changing the holder name of election connection and in reply O.P. said that Rs. 2361/- was due in this particular connection and Complainant had to deposit the due amount and afterthat he could change the electric connection in his name. Thereafter, the Complainant deposited Rs. 2402/- to O.P.  on 14.12.2021 vide receipt no. 7953613, 7953614, 7953615 and deposited all documents. But after passing few months O.P. cut the electric connection and after enquiry the Complainant came to know from the O.P. that two bill amount i.e. Rs. 5970/- and Rs. 7440/-  dated 22.09.2022 & 06.07.2022 respectively was due. After hearing this sentence this Complainant became astonished and wrote to OP that no amount was due.

We peruse the materials on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case we find that the instant complaint is of bill dispute and we find no deficiency of service on the part of the OP. Such being the position, we are of the view that the instant complaint is not required to be admitted and as such the instant complaint is liable to be dismissed.

In the result, the Consumer case fails.

Fees paid are correct. Hence, it is

            Ordered

that the complaint Case No. CC/80/23 be and the same is dismissed on merit against the OP.

Let plain copy of this order  be supplied free of cost, to each of the parties / Ld. Advocate/Agent on record, by hand  /by post under proper acknowledgment  as per rules, for information and necessary action.
