Anil Kumar Vs. SDO, UHBVNL etc.

Present:     Sh. S.C.Koshish, Advocate for complainant.

The complainant has filed the present complaint under Section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act alleging  therein that the father of the complainant Sh. Sham Lal had an electricity connection bearing account no. JD-30-1533X and the father of the complainant had expired. The complainant received electricity bill regarding 1658 units consumed whereas the meter shows that consumption only 836 units till 12.09.2017. It is further alleged that the bill of Rs. 12, 561/- was issued on 09.09.2017 and the same has been corrected on the application of the complainant and the bill amount after correction comes Rs. 3953/- and the same has been deposited by complainant. The complainant further alleged that in visiting the office of Opposite party has wasted his valuable time and present complaint has been filed for compensation. It is clear from complaint that the opposite party has issued a bill for Rs. 12561/- and the same has been corrected on the request of the complainant and the amount is reduced of Rs. 3953/-which has been deposited by complainant. In these circumstances, the complainant has failed to point out any cause of action against the opposite party. In these circumstances, we are the consider view that the present complaint is not liable to be admitted and same is hereby dismissed at the stage of admission.
