ORDER

Complaint is allowed. O.P.1 is directed to pay interest from 11-1-2003 to 23-5-2003 to both the deposits held by the complainants at the reates prevailing at that time, amounting to Rs.3,578/- within two months from the date of this order, failing which this amount shall carry future interest at the rate of 9% p.a. Interest calculation is as under: period 11-1-2003 to 23-5-2003 (132 days) Rate of interest: 7.75%p.a. Deposit Amount: Deposit Amount: Rs.50,000/- Rs.75,000/- Rs. 1,431/- Rs. 2,147/- Rounded off to nearest Rupee totally 3,578/-. O.P.1 is further directed to pay cost of Rs.1,500/- to the complainant for rendering deficient service and covering the cost of litigation. Send certified copies of this judgement and order to o.p.1 by RPAD and to the others under C.O.P.
