               The complaint was filed by the complainant U/S 12 of Consumer Protection Act 1986 alleging deficiency in service on the part of the opposite party in selling defective batteries along with a direction to direct the opposite party to pay the cost of rental of batteries for 14 months at Rs.1500 per months for using at the residence and to pay a sum of Rs.20,000/- as compensation for mental agony caused to the complainant due to the negligent and deficiency in service on the part of the opposite party. 

It is represented by both parties that the matter has been settled between the parties and settlement memo was presented and recorded. In view of the settlement the complaint is dismissed as withdrawn.  No cost.
