Heard the Petitioner who appears in person. Delay condoned .The petitioner has drawn our attention to page -45 wherein calculations are shown regarding payments made pursuant to the award passed by the District Forum. The said calculations shows that a sum of Rs.36000/- was paid on 11.12.2006 and the net amount which remained was Rs.47,918/- The interest at 9% was calculated w.e.f. 3.5.2004 to 23.9.2008 as Rs.18,964/-. To this an amount of Rs.10,000/- which was awarded as compensation (Rs.5000/- towards damages and Rs.5000/- towards cost) has been added and the figure reached at Rs.76,882/-. This amount was in fact deposited by the Insurance Company with the District Forum. The grievance of the complainant is that no interest has been paid on the said compensation of Rs.10,000/- No interest has been ordered to be paid by the District Forum on the damages of Rs.5000/- and legal expenses of Rs.5000/- as can be seen from the order of the District Forum. In view of this, we do not find any merit in this revision and the revision is accordingly dismissed.
