ORDER

Complainant present. He received a D.D for Rs.75,700/- from the opposite party, the full amount paid by the complainant towards the value of the laptop. The complainant deposited laptop before the Forum which is to be returned to the opposite party. The complainant submitted that he has paid the amount on 17th May-2007. Therefore, he requested the Forum to grant interest on the said amount. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case the opposite parties in this case have promptly come forward to refund the amount without taking any dispute or objections. Therefore, it would meet the ends of justice, if the opposite parties are ordered to pay lump sum amount of Rs.4,000/- towards interest and Rs.1,000/- towards costs of the present proceedings. On payment of interest and costs, the opposite party is entitled to receive the laptop which is in deposit. In the result, I proceed to pass the following:- ORDER The complaint is disposed off since the matter is settled and the complainant had received the amount i.e., price paid towards purchase of laptop. The opposite party is directed to pay Rs.4,000/-(towards interest) and Rs.1,000/- towards costs to the complainant. On payment of said amount the office is directed to return the laptop to opposite party. MEMBER MEMBER PRESIDENT
