Complainant and opposite parties appeared through counsel. The opposite party also appeared directly. Counsel for the complainant submitted that the complainant joined the training as per the assurance given by the opposite party that the entire course fee will be refunded if the complainant gets admission from the All India Rank List. The opposite party's counsel submitted that the complainant studied for one month and he discontinued the course to his own reasons. Eventhough they are ready to refund the fee after deducting the tax paid to the Government, the fee for the study materials supplied to the student and the admission fee. The complainant paid Rs.10,000/- to the opposite parties as fee for the course. The opposite party is directed to refund Rs.5,000/- to the complainant within 7 days. Complainant's counsel also agreed. Hence the petition dismissed as per the settlement.
