O R D E R

1. The complainant, a CRPF Jawan, booked an Air India flight which was scheduled to depart from Srinagar to Coimbatore on 4/4/2020 which unfortunately got cancelled on 4/4/2020 due to Covid 19 lockdown. When he sought for refund of flight charges,  Air India informed that they can’t refund but only reschedule the flight. Not amenable to the said option  the complainant filed the present complaint seeking flight charge refund, additional expenses incurred in booking another flight, compensation for loss of valuable time and mental agony and inconvenience. 
2. The complaint was filed on 30/4/2021 and posted for return of notice on 4/6/2021. There was no sitting on that date and the case was adjourned to 30/7/2021. When the matter was called on 30/7/2021, there was no representation for either parties, but  the staff of the Commission informed that the complainant had telephonically informed them that the matter was settled. The matter was posted for receipt of communication and posted to 24/8/2021. On 24/8/2021 also there was no representation for any of the parties. The matter was adjourned to 6/9/2021 for reporting settlement as last chance.
3. On 6/9/2021 when the matter was called there was no representation for any of the parties and this complaint was taken for orders.
4. As already stated supra, the complainant had informed telephonically on 30/7/2021 that the matter was settled interse  parties out of court. Even though there were two more postings the complainant had not cared to make representations or file any written documents regarding the further conduct of the complaint. From this conduct we conclude that the complainant is not interested in proceeding with the complaint. 
5. Hence we dispose off the complaint as not prosecuted.  

   Pronounced in the open court on this the 8^th  day of October   2021.
