CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 583  OF  2020

ORDER

1.         At this stage, parties have been asked by this Commission for the settlement of the dispute amicably for which they are ready. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Ankush, Counsel for OP has stated that with the assistance of the District Commission, the parties have settled the dispute and as per settlement, the OP has agreed to pay a total sum of Rs.16,500/- to the complainant within three weeks from today. He has further stated that in case the aforesaid amount is not paid by the OP within the stipulated period, the complainant shall have right to recover the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 12% p.a. from today by way of execution. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Polly Shera, Counsel for Complainant has admitted the statement of counsel for OP and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement.

2.         In view of the statement of the parties and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

(i)         The OP shall pay an amount Rs.16,500/- to the complainant within three weeks from today.

(ii)        In case OP fails to pay the aforesaid amount within the stipulated period, the complainant shall have right to recover the aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 12% p.a. from today i.e. 15.09.2022 by way of execution of the award.

3.         The complaint is disposed of accordingly.

4.         Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
