ORDER

The allegation raised in the complaint is in connection with the disbursement of gratuity. Gratuity is the money that is given to the employees when they leave their jobs. Employee is the service provider and it is the employer who avails the service from the employee. As the complainant (employee) herein has not availed any service from the opposite party, he cannot be treated as a consumer as defined in the Consumer Protection Act. As such the complaint is not maintainable under the Consumer Protection Act. Complaint is dismissed as not maintainable. Complainant is at liberty to seek redress from appropriate authority. G.
