JUDGEMENT

Mr. Purna Chandra Mishra, President.

          Complainant Madhusudan Adhikari has filed this case alleging deficiency of service on the part of Opposite Parties for providing him with a wrong number plate and praying therein for direction to the Opposite Parties to provide him with correct number plate and pay Rs. 10,000/- for deficiency of service and harassment.

1. Brief fact leading to the case is that the complainant is the registered owner of one motorcycle bearing Regd. No. OD12-8974. He booked HSRP number plate from the Opposite Party No. 2 which was to be delivered to OP No. 1. On the scheduled date and time, he reached the workshop of OP No. 1 and while opening the packet, it was found that the number plate bears Regd. No. OD12-8774 instead of OD12-8974. Therefore, he requested the OP to replace it but they did not listen to his grievance for which, he filed this case before the Commission for relief as discussed above.
2. The OP No. 1 appeared after receipt of notice but OP No. 2 did not appear. So, this Commission set him expartee and proceeded to dispose of the case.
3. The OP No. 1 in his written statement stated that inadvertently the Registration Plate was changed and after the error was found, the corrected number plate has already been affixed in the vehicle on 12.12.2022. it is seen from the Order Sheet, the complainant is continuously absent from the date of first appearance itself and we feel that after Redressal of his grievance, he is no more interest to prosecute the case and hence the order.

O R D E R

          The complaint petition is disposed of as the principal grievance of the complainant has been redressed and the error was due to inadvertence. Parties to bear their own cost.
