ORDER

ORDER DATE-11/06/1997. The respondent Bank is directed to pay the broken period interest at the rate of 11% p.a on the 3 F.D. deposits from 19-7-94 to 19-8-94 and also directed to pay interest at 10% p.a on Rs.40 lakhs from 19-8-94 to 6-10-94. Further we direct the manager to pay from his pocket, compensation of Rs.5,000/- for the mental agony suffered by the complainants and also to pay costs of Rs.1,000/- to the complainants. The respondents Bank and Rw1 the manager shall comply the above direction within one month from the date of the receipt of this order. Sd/- B.S.Shambu, President. Sd/- P.C.Gopal, Member.
