Final Order / Judgement

Hon’ble Mr. Ajeya Matilal, Presiding Member

The Ld. Advocate for the respondent is present.

None appears for the appellant on repeated call.

Being aggrieved by and dissatisfied with the order no. 12 dt. 30.07.2019 passed by Kolkata, Unit I in CC/297/2018 allowing the complainant on contest against the OPs, the appellant preferred this appeal.

In the impugned order the OPs were jointly and severally directed to refund the amount of Rs. 200/- only for lesser weight of the said sandal log. It is also directed to OPs to pay the amount of Rs. 200/- only as compensation for harassment and mental agony as well as Rs. 100/- only for litigation cost within 30 days from the date of communication of this order, i.d. an interest @ 8% p.a. shall accrue over the entire sum due to the credit of the complainant till full realisation.

Perused the impugned order allowing the materials on record. It appears that there is no illegality in the impugned order.

          Accordingly, A/730/2019 is dismissed.

The impugned order is upheld. There shall be no order as to the costs.

Order of stay, if there is any, stands vacated.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the Ld. Forum below.

Joint Registrar of this Commission is directed to do the needful in this regard.
