6. For the foregoing discussions we are of the view that as per the conditions in the policy of insurance, the complainant is entitled to Rs.2,00,000/- only. At this juncture, we would like to refer the observation made by the Hon'ble Supre Court that 'the terms of the policy as laid down by the Insurance Company should be suitably amended by the Insurance Company so as to make it more viable and facilitate the claiments to make their claim. The common man understands that he has taken out the policy against theft. Therefore, a policy should be a meaningful policy. It should have the meaning which a common man can easily understand rather than become more technical so as to defeat the cause of the public at large'.<br /> In the result the opposite party is directed to pay to the complainant Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two lakhs only) with interest at 12% from 03..03..2002 till the date of payment.
