1. The opposite party in their version has stated that the complaint is barred by limitation, since the cause of action for the complaint arose in 2006.
2. Heard the counsel for the parties and went through the documents on record. Admittedly, the impugned quiz competition was held from 19th November to 31st December 2006. The complainant caused an
e-mail communication dated 17-03-2007 to the opposite party highlighting his grievances. Thereafter, there was no response on either side till 26-08-2010. On 26-08-2010, again the complainant issued a communication to the opposite party to which the opposite party replied on 27-08-2010.
3. By the time, the limitation period as prescribed under Section 24 A of the Consumer Protection Act is already over. The complainant opted to file this complaint only on 23-03-2012, which is belated and barred by limitation. This Forum is only to dismiss the complaint, for reasons stated. Held so.
