ORDER

At the time of arguments, it is very fairly stated by Counsel for respondent No.2 that respondent No.2 shall pay interest @9% p.a. on Rs.50,000/- whereof the date of deposit i.e. 14.09.2015. It is further stated that the amount paid i.e. Rs.3,000/- + interest, as awarded by the Forum, shall be adjusted when making the payment.

                   We are satisfied with the statement given. However, we feel that the compensation awarded by the Forum is on the lower side. It is apparent on record that the amount to purchase the car was deposited on 14.09.2015, however, upto the request for cancellation of the booking i.e. 26.03.2016, the car was not made available for delivery. Even amount of Rs.3,000/- was wrongly deducted.

                   In view of above, we increase the component of compensation to Rs.7500/-. Litigation expenses, as granted, are maintained. Let the amount of interest plus balance amount of compensation, as stated above, be paid within four weeks from today upto the date of making the payment.

                   Accordingly, the appeal stands disposed of.
