This is a complaint filed under section 12 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 praying to direct the opposite parties to pay the policy amount to the complainant with interest @ 24% p.a., from the date of death of the deceased i.e 23.7.2003, to pay Rs.20,000/- towards mental agony and Rs.2,000/- towards costs of the complaint in the interest of justice.

          This complaint coming on this day for settlement of the case and upon the counsel for complainant Sri P. Siva Sudarshan, Advocate, Kurnool and Sri I. Anantha Rama Sastry, Advocate, Kurnool for opposite parties No.1 and No.2, and after perusing the material papers on record, the Forum made the following.
