SRI.K.T.SIDHIQ, PRESIDENT

            Complainant is alleging deficiency in service on the part of opposite party in non-settlement of his claim for the cattle insurance that he preferred on account of death of one of his insured cow.

            Today when the matter is taken up both the complainant and opposite party’s counsel filed a joint statement stating that the matter is settled for Rs.14,000/- and  the said amount  will be paid within one month from the date of receipt of copy of order.

            Therefore we pass the following order.  Opposite party is directed to pay Rs.14,000/- to the complainant within one month from the date of receipt of copy of order.  Failing which the said amount will carry interest @ 12% per annum from the date of complaint i.e. 17-09-2008 till payment.
