ON BEHALF OF THE BENCH

           

            Complainant present. Opposite party No.1 present. Opposite party No.1 represented that they are ready to pay Rs.5,812/- towards assured amount of the cell phone, towards full and final settlement of the matter, and the proposal is agreed by the complainant. However, complainant submitted that, he may be awarded costs of the complaint, since he had to visit the Forum nearly 11 times, spending his own money towards transportation.

            2. Having heard both sides, we are of the view that a reasonable amount of Rs.1,000/- can be awarded to the complainant in addition to the amount of Rs.5,812/-, which was agreed by opposite party No.1.

            3. Hence, opposite party No.1 is directed to pay a total sum of Rs.5,812/- + Rs.1,000/- = Rs.6,812/- (Rupees six thousand eight hundred and twelve only), within a period of 15 days, failing which the complainant can proceed to recover the said amount by filing Execution Application (E.A).  

Pronounced in the Open Forum this the 1st  May, 2019.
