Heard.  The subject matter vehicle, being a stage carriage bus, it is clear that the same has been purchased for business purpose.  The crux of the matter herein is to examine whether the purchase is meant for commercial purpose or not.  From the pleading itself it is evident that he had purchased the vehicle with an object to run it for commercial purpose. Thus the complainant does not come under the definition of 'Consumer'.  It is clear that the transaction is relatable to his business activity and, therefore, it will fall in the category of commercial purpose, which has been, out of the perview of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 vide Amendment Act No.62 of 2002 effective from 15th of March, 2003.  It is therefore, disposed of the complaint with liberty to the complainant to approach Civil Court, since it is not maintainable under the Consumer Protection Act.    Dated this the 31st day of December, 2013.   Sd/-  President               Sd/-  Member           Sd/-  Member     forwarded by order      Senior Superintendent
