            Complainant files hazira. The record is taken up for admission hearing. Perused the petition of complaint and the case record. Heard Ld. Lawyer for the complainant. Considered.

           Complainant has filed this case praying for directing the OP-Insurance Company for payment of death claim of Rs.2,75,000/- in respect of the life insurance policy of her husband and for other reliefs. Complainant’s case in brief is that her husband Mohan Maiti, since deceased, obtained a Life Insurance Policy from the office of OP No.1 being policy No.50121742 but unfortunately her husband died on 30/06/2012. After demise of her husband, the complainant being the wife of the deceased policy holder submitted claim form in respect of that policy before the OP alongwith all  necessary papers and the policy  certificate. But till date, the Op did not settle her claim. It appears that the cause of action arose in the year 2012 but the present complaint has been filed on 23/05/2016 i.e. long after the period of limitation of two year. The petition of complaint is therefore barred by limitation and as such it is not admitted.

                                    Hence, it is,

                                                     ORDERED

                                                         that the petition of complaint is not admitted as it is barred by limitation.
