                         Complainant is present. Today is fixed for hearing of this case.

                         Hd. and perused the case together with its documents namely money receipts towards the payment of sum of Rs.20,412/- (Twenty thousand four hundred twelve) only and Rs.40,824/- (Forty thousand eight hundred twenty four) only under the assurance of the Op that the policy is merited for revival if the due premiums are paid within two years from the date of alleged laps of policy. It appears in their letter dated 7^th March 2011 which bears ultimately a token of threat for termination of the policy despite the payment of default premiums. No reason as such is found to have set out in the said letter which according to us amounts to an act of arbitrary stepping from the end of the Ops. Under such circumstances it is very much surprising to us that what reliance the policy holder to bear in her mind in respect of the performance of the Op. The complainant being a person belonging to an underdeveloped sector of our territory where the Government is trying to amelurate the financial and social status under such various Government scheme. The Ops. are required to have their functions in such tune and pattern but instead they are found to be functioning in designed manner for unusual and irregular gain from the gullible people like this complaint lady.

                   Hence this Forum is very much constrained to pass an order in terms of the prayer mentioned in the petitions of complaint.

                  The complainant Smt. Sabitri Mahata of Jorakhali, Jhargram, Paschim Medinipur do get an award of Rs.61,236/-(Sixty one thousand two hundred thirty six) only together with its interest @ 9% with effect from the date of its payment till repayment.

                 The Complainant do get compensation of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty thousand) only on account of acute mental pain and harassment due to deficiency in service committed by the Ops.

                The petition do get litigation cost of Rs.4,000/-(Four thousand) only.

                 The Ops. are hereby directed for making payment of the aforesaid award compensation and cost within 60 days in default the entire amount will bear 9% interest for the period till its recovery.
