CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO. 577  OF  2020

ORDER

          The parties have settled the matter. Counsel for OP No.1 & 2 has stated at bar that the matter has been finally settled between the parties with the term that OP No.1 & 2 shall pay an amount of Rs.3000/- to the complainant within a period of 1½ month from today failing which they shall be liable to pay interest @ 9% p.a. on the aforesaid amount from the date of filing of present consumer complaint. Counsel for OP No.3 has stated at bar that OP No.3 has handed over a cheque of Rs.5500/- bearing cheque No.298671 dated 23.09.2022 in favour of complainant Rajesh Kumar Goyal to Sh.Sumit Sawhney, SPA of Complainant, towards settlement of the dispute qua OP No.3 in the present complaint. Joint statement of counsel for the OPs to this effect has been recorded separately. Vide his separate statement, Sh.Sumit Sawhney, SPA of Complainant has admitted the statement of counsel for OPs and prayed that the complaint be disposed of in terms of aforesaid settlement.

          In view of the statement of the parties and in terms of the settlement, the complaint stands disposed of by passing the following order:-

          “The OP No.1 & 2 shall pay Rs.3,000/- to the complainant within          1½ month from today failing which they shall be liable to pay the    aforesaid amount alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing          the present consumer complaint i.e. 08.12.2020."

          The complaint is disposed of accordingly.

          Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties free of cost. The file be consigned.
