26-05-2014: Appeal is partly allowed. Order impugned dated 06.04.1999 passed by the District Forum is modified and the appellant is directed to pay interest @ 9% p.a. on Rs. 1,44,458/- to the respondent for the period from 01.07.1993 to 24.09.1993 and Rs. 200/- towards postal charges. Costs of the appeal made easy.
