Alongwith the appeal, an application for condonation of delay of 30 days as per the applicants/appellants  (as per the office report 29 days), in filing the appeal, has been filed.

                   Heard.

                   For the reasons stated in the application, which is supported by a duly sworn affidavit and finding sufficient cause, the delay aforesaid is condoned.

                   The application is disposed of accordingly.

                    The matter has amicably been settled between the parties.

                   It is stated by Counsel for the appellants that towards full and final settlement of all claims raised by the respondent/complainant, the appellants/Opposite Parties will pay an amount of Rs.50,000/-. He further states that statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- is lying deposited with this Commission, that may be released in favour of the respondent/complainant and balance amount of Rs.25,000/- will be paid through demand draft/cheque within 45 days from today.

                   The aforesaid offer made is acceptable to the Counsel for the respondent/complainant.

                   In view of above, this appeal stands disposed of.

                   We make it very clear that if the demand draft/cheque of the amount in dispute is not handed over to the Counsel for the respondent/complainant within the said period, the balance amount of Rs.25,000/- will start getting interest @8% p.a. from today till the date of payment.

                   We direct the Secretary of this Commission to release an amount of Rs.25,000/-, which was lying deposited with this Commission in the shape of FDR, with interest, if any, accrued there upon, in the name of the respondent/complainant i.e. “Surjeet Singh” within 7 days from today.

                   Certified copies of this order be sent to the parties, free of charge.
