This revision petition has been filed with a delay of 263 days which is over and above the period of 90 days which is statutorily granted for filing the revision petition.  Under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 the consumer fora are required to decide the case in a summary manner within 90 days of its filing where no evidence is required to be taken and within 150 days where the evidence is required to be taken.  Inordinate delay of 263 days over

and above the statutory period given for filing the revision petition, cannot be condoned without showing sufficient cause.  The only reason given for condonation of delay in the application is that the petitioner was told by his counsel that he needs not appear before the State Commission; he came to know about passing of the order when he enquired about the same from his counsel and immediately after receiving the file, engaged the present counsel for filing the revision petition.  We are not satisfied with the cause shown for condonation of delay.  Application for condonation of delay is dismissed.  Consequently, revision petition is dismissed as barred by time.
