This judgement is pronounced in the open court on seperate sheets of paper today.<br /> This complaint is allowed. The complainant is held entitled for refund of Rs.21,000/- along with interest at 12% p.a. from 10-10-1998 to the date of realisation. He is also entitled for payment of Rs. 5,000/- as compensation for the unfair trade practice adopted by opposite parties and their deficiency in service. He is further held entitled for Rs.500/- as cost of prosecuting this complaint. However his prayer for imprisonment of opposite parties in case of non-compliance of order is rejected since it is premature. However the complainant is at liberty to seek initiation of action under section 27 of the Consumer Protection Act in case the opposite parties fail to comply with this order within 2 months from the date of receipt of this order.<br /> The opposite parties are held jointly and severally liable to refund Rs.21,000/- with interest at 12% p.a. from 10-1-01998 to the date of realisation. They are also held liable to pay to the complainant Rs.5,000/- as compensation and Rs.500/- as cost of the proceedings in addition to bearing their own costs.<br /> Send the certified copies of this judgement and order to bothsides parties under C.O.P.
