JUDGMENT SRI.M.V.VISWANATHAN,JUDICIAL MEMBER The above appeal is preferred from the order dated 27th July 2009 passed by CDRF, Kozhikode in CC.80/08. 2. During the pendency of this appeal, the matter has been settled by the parties to this appeal and they filed a joint statement dated 28.4.2010 and the same is recorded. As per the said settlement the appellants/opposite parties agreed to refund the sum of Rs.70,000/- with interest at the rate of 9% per annum from 5.5.07 till realization and cost of Rs.500/-. The appellants/opposite parties have also agreed to pay a further sum of Rs.12,000/- by way of compensation. Both parties have agreed to the said settlement and affixed their signatures. In the result, the appeal is disposed of as settled. The appellants/opposite parties are directed to refund the sum of Rs.70,000/- with interest at the rate of 9% per annum from 5.5.07 till realization along with compensation of Rs.12,000/- and cost of Rs.500/-.
